Wi-Fi Direct is a feature that allows devices to connect to each other directly through an active Wi-Fi network. To make this possible, Wi-Fi Direct must be enabled on all devices.Here's a quick guide for you to use Wi-Fi Direct on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S.
1. Turn On Wi-Fi Direct feature.
Follow these steps to enable Wi-Fi Direct on your Galaxy Tab S:
a. Tap Apps from the Home screen.
b. Tap Settings to continue.
c. Tap the Connections tab.
d. Tap to select Wi-Fi.
Hint:
You must enable Wi-Fi for you to use Wi-Fi direct on your tablet.
e. Tap Wi-Fi Direct to turn it on or enabled.
After enabling the feature, you may now use Wi-Fi Direct on your Galaxy Tab S. You may refer to the following procedures to walk you through connecting to Wi-Fi Direct Devices.
1. To get started, tap Apps from the Home screen.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap the Connections Tab.
4. Tap to enable Wi-Fi.
5. Tap Wi-Fi Direct to turn the feature on.
6. Enable Wi-Fi Direct on the device you want to connect with your tablet.
7. Touch Wi-Fi Direct to scan for the other device on your tablet.
8. You will be prompted with the scanned list. Look for the device to connect and touch on it. Another way is to touch Multi-connect, if you want to connect to multiple devices.
Note:
Be to connect to devices that support multi-connect, otherwise, it won't work.
9. You will be prompted with on-screen instructions on both devices. Just follow these instructions to complete the connection on both devices.
When connection is established, the device will appear as Connected in your list of Wi-Fi Direct devices on your Tablet. An icon will also display on the Status Bar.
