2. How to Make an International Call



Here are the steps to make an international call with your Galaxy Alpha:


1. Tap on Keypad.

3. How to Answer a Call

In order to update to the latest software version available, be sure to have at least 50 percent or higher battery life on your device. Your Galaxy device must also have data connection and finally, your Gear S must be connected to a Galaxy device.

Software Update Methods 

A. OTA or over-the-air (automatic update)

You may opt to update automatically (OTA) or over-the-air. Automatic software update has been pushed since November 9. You will be notified through your device when it's ready to update.

Once you already get the OTA notification, you may proceed with these steps:

1. Open the Samsung Gear Manager on the connected smartphone.

2. Tap on the connected device name.

3. Tap on Software update.

4. Select Update now.

B. Use Pattern for the Lock Screen

Here's how to set a Pattern for the Lock Screen.

1. Tap Pattern to select Pattern as your lock screen method.
2. Draw your unlock pattern on the screen by connecting the dots, as instructed.
3. Tap Continue when you're prompted with a Pattern recorded message.
4. Draw your unlock pattern on the screen again.
5. Tap Confirm when you are prompted with the 'Your new unlock pattern' message.
6. Now set your backup PIN. The backup PIN must be at least 4 numbers in length.

Hint:

A Backup PIN will be used to unlock your device screen if you forget your pattern.

7. Select or set your backup PIN by entering the number on the onscreen keyboard.
8. Tap Continue.
9. Enter the same numbers on the screen keyboard to confirm your backup PIN.
10. Tap OK to continue.
11. If you want to change your pattern, just repeat the above steps and then select a new pattern.

C. Use Fingerprint for the Lock Screen

Here's how to set your fingerprint for the lock screen on your Galaxy S5:

1. Tap Fingerprint.
2. Read the Disclaimer, then tap OK to proceed.
3. Now swipe your finger as instructed on the next screen to capture or register your fingerprint. You will be prompted to swipe your finger several times.
