Unlike Home screen widgets, shortcuts will launch an application when touched or tapped. If you don't prefer shortcuts on your new Samsung Galaxy Tab S, steps to delete a shortcut are provided in this content. 1. Touch the Apps icon from the Home screen.
2. Look for the application you wish to add a shortcut to, then touch and hold the icon.
3. You're now back at the Home screen, wherein the new shortcut appears to hover of the screen. Keep holding the icon, position it on the screen and then release the icon place the shortcut into its position.
4. You should now see the new app you selected is placed on the Home screen.
If you want to delete a shortcut, follow these steps:
1. Touch and hold the shortcut you want to delete until the edit screen is activated.
2. Once the edit screen is enabled, you can now drag the icon up. This action however, will not delete the application. It will just remove the shortcut from the current Home screen so there's no need to worry of losing the app.
3. Now drag the icon over the Remove tab, located at the upper-right corner of the screen, then release it there.
The app shortcut will now be gone from the current home screen. In order to access or launch the application, just go to the Apps page.
