Samsung Galaxy Alpha Quick Guide: Adding a Gmail (email) Account

This quick guide is aimed at helping those (beginner users) who are trying to set up or add a Gmail account on their new Galaxy Alpha smartphone.

Follow these steps to add a Gmail account to your Samsung Galaxy Alpha and get access and/or reply to your emails on the go.

Start here whenever you're ready:

1. Tap on Apps from the Home screen.
2. Tap on Settings to continue.
3. Tap on Accounts.

Hint:

Accounts may appear as an icon or tab depending on how you arranged your phone settings.

4. Tap Add account to continue adding an email account.

5. Tap to select Google from the given options.

6. Tap on the New button. You will be prompted with on-screen instructions to add/set up your Gmail account on your device. Just follow the instructions to complete the process.

To see if your emails are properly synchronized, create a test email, send it to your recently added email (Gmail) account, then see if it did sync to your phone mail. And that should do it!
