The Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone has the capacity to multitask while watching a video. This means you can watch a video while reading an email message, browsing the web, sending messages or even while you are playing games.
This guide will teach you how to get all these things simultaneously done on your Galaxy S5.
Follow these steps to use pop-up video multitasking feature on S5:
Note: In this guide, we will play a video using the Video app.
1. Touch Apps from the Home screen to get started.
2. Touch Video to open or launch the Video application.
3. Now to any video to start playback. You may choose a video from Personal or Devices tab.
4. While the video is playing, touch the Pop Up video icon located on the lower right corner of the screen beneath the timer. If the control is hidden, just touch the video to show the menu.
5. You will then see the video shown in a smaller window and will stay on the screen until the video is done playing. Start watching the video.
6. Now try to do other things, like viewing a message while the video plays. Touch Messaging, and the video will remain visible onscreen.
Hints:
You can move the video to another area of the screen you like. To do so, touch and hold the window, drag it to your preferred location, then drop or release it there.
To close the video, simply touch the X in the upper-right corner of the window. To pause the video, simply touch the video window at it should pause.
To get back on the video app, double-touch the video window quickly.
Just follow the same process when doing other things than reading messages while using the pop-up video on your Galaxy S5.
