A. Insert micro SIM/SD cards on the Galaxy S5A micro SIM card is necessary for you to make calls, access the Internet, download applications and share files from your phone to another device over a wireless network.
This guide is primarily intended for new users of the Galaxy S5, who need further assistance particularly on how to insert and use the micro SIM and SD card on their device. This will cover the entire first part of the Galaxy S5 micro SIM and SD card tutorial.
1. Remove the back cover of your phone carefully. Place a fingernail in the notch on the side of the phone and slowly lift the back to take the cover off.
2. Once the back cover is removed, remove the phone's battery. Place a fingernail in the battery release notch, located at the bottom of the battery and lift the battery toward you.
3. When the battery is removed, slide the SIM card firmly into its slot. Avoid touching the gold contacts, to prevent damaging the SIM card.
4. After you've properly inserted the SIM card, replace or re-insert the battery. Carefully align the plus and minus symbols on the battery. The gold contacts must be inside the phone's battery compartment. Finally, press the battery into place.
5. Now place the back cover. The back cover must be aligned with the phone. The proper way of doing this is by gently pressing down on each corner of the cover until it snaps into place.
To prevent water and dust from penetrating or entering the phone, please make sure that the back and multipurpose jack covers are tightly closed. And you're all set for testing the SIM card and see if everything is doing good.
