This is one of the first few issues reported/encountered by some owners of the new Samsung Galaxy Alpha smartphone. And here's one of the first available solutions for you to try on.
If you cannot receive calls from certain people on your Samsung Galaxy Alpha smartphone, then you may try the following workarounds. These are the basic procedures/methods you can use to deal with this trouble.
Start here whenever you're ready.
1. Touch Apps from the Home screen.
2. Touch Settings to continue.
3. Touch Call.
4. Touch Call rejection.
5. Touch Auto reject list.
6. Now verify if the rejected number is in the Auto Reject list. If it is, then it's the reason why you cannot receive a call from this number.
To solve the problem, select the (rejected) number, then tap the trash bin icon.
7. To remove the phone number from the Reject List, tap on the checkbox next to the phone number, then tap Done.
In case you are using an alternative Phone app on your device, then check the settings on that app for any separate Block or Reject list feature. You may need to manually disable a relevant feature enabled in the app.
If problem persists after performing the aforesaid steps or even when the number is not on an auto reject list, then it's time to check your add-on service registration. Please contact your network carrier/operator for further assistance on verifying your add-on service registration and further troubleshooting assistance.
