Samsung Galaxy Alpha: Manage Display Settings to extend battery life

Advertisements
One way to extend the battery life of your Samsung device, including the new Galaxy Alpha smartphone is by proper display settings management/configuration.

This content will offer you some hints on how to extend the battery life of your Galaxy Alpha handset by adjusting the display settings. Read on to learn more.

Important note:

Set screen timeout to 30 seconds and screen brightness to Auto. Please note that high screen brightness or long screen time-out setting can easily drain the phone's battery.

Follow these steps to adjust or change screen timeout settings or display brightness on your Galaxy Alpha:

1. Touch Apps from the Home screen.

2. Touch Settings to continue.

3. Touch Display, under Settings.

4. Scroll to and touch Screen timeout from Display options.

5. Choose your preferred screen timeout. Again, the shorter timeout, the more you expand your phone's battery life.

Hint: As standard recommendation, set the screen timeout to 30 seconds.

6. Now, touch Brightness to adjust screen brightness on your device.

7. When prompted, touch to check the box for Automatic brightness. Doing so will automatically set screen brightness to the standard/acceptable level.

8. Touch OK, to complete the process.

Follow the same steps if you want to make changes or adjustments to screen brightness and screen timeout on your Galaxy Alpha, next time.
